Stefano has 20 years of experience in the banking industry having worked from 1995 to 2018 in Mediobanca Group.
Until 2014 he was in charge of the Banking Group’s holdings, performing in the role of management and coordination, corporate governance, strategic planning and management control.

He has developed new activities (retail banking, consumer finance, leasing & factoring, credit management) with innovative business models taking care of various organizational and corporate transformation projects.

He has followed a number of investment operations (including industrial partnerships) and disinvestments.

He was member of the Boards of Directors of Compass, CheBanca, Selmabipiemme, Creditech, Mediobanca International Luxembourg, Mediobanca Innovation Services, Ricerca & Studi.

From 2014 to 2018 he was CEO of Spafid (historical trust company of the Mediobanca group) realizing – with organic and non-organic development actions – an innovative platform of non-banking services for entrepreneurial families and their Family Business assembling fiduciary services, independent financial advisory and Corporate Services, especially for listed companies and IPOs.

Before working in Mediobanca – in the period 1991-1995 – he was a financial analyst at Banca Akros and senior auditor at Arthur Andersen where he oversaw the review of major industrial companies, banks and insurance companies, as well as the activities of due diligence for an important number of deals.

He graduated with honors in Business Administration at “La Sapienza” University in Rome.

He has been granted a Scholarship at the “Lamaro-Pozzani” university college in Rome sponsored by Federazione Nazionale dei Cavalieri del Lavoro.

As Guardia di Finanza Lieutenant he held 15 months of service at the Academy in Bergamo.

Chartered Accountant and Official Auditor.

Statutory Auditor at the European Institute of Oncology.
